The Master’s Chorale

The Master’s Chorale is a 60-member auditioned concert choir representing 30 states and virtually every major area of study. They perform sacred music from every major period, relating spiritual truth to people today. The Chorale performs throughout the year on and off campus. They have toured many parts of the United States, the United Kingdom, and have been guests of the Ministry of Tourism in Israel in 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005.
In 2003 and 2006, the Chorale performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. They will travel to Israel and Italy this year on their summer tour. Along with their own albums, they have recorded for Phil Barfoot, Steve Bock, Don Marsh, David Clydesdale and Ligonier Ministries. They were the featured choir of a series of hymn-story books with CD, featuring John MacArthur, Joni Eareckson Tada and Robert and Bobbie Wolgumuth. They also recorded Let Heaven and Nature Sing, a Christmas album arranged by David T. Clydesdale. Most recently they recorded Light All Around.
EASTER IS OVER, BUT OUR PASSION WEEK CELEBRATION CONTINUES
Join us as we continue to probe the wonderful depths of our Lord’s last week on earth. Our studies continue to delve deeply into the incedible life of our Lord Jesus Christ as we examine the book of Mark chapter 11. Come and learn and grow with us in this glorious celebration.

Congregational Budget Forum: We will be having our annual congregational budget forum at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 20th in Room 210.
VBS 2012 Is Coming!!! We are excited to announce our annual Vacation Bible School! This year is “Incrediworld: A Thrill Ride Through God’s Creation”. Come attend this summer for a great week of fantastic songs, games, crafts, and Bible study! Vacation Bible School will be June 25th-29th from 6:30 pm to 8:40 pm, with a special family BBQ on Saturday the 30th at 12:00 pm. Children grades K through 6th are welcome. As always, there is no fee for our VBS, and this year the first 120 children will receive a free VBS t-shirt! Pre-register now, or pick up a form in the back of the sanctuary. We can’t wait to see you this summer! Note for teachers: There is a final ALL STAFF meeting on June 4th at 7:00pm in the library.
SCV Pregnancy Center: The SCV Pregnancy Center is excited about a new Pregnancy Education and Live Ultrasound program in the public schools. God has provided a portable ultrasound machine and two opportunities in May to provide live scans to high school students. They need pregnant models who are, ideally, between 10 and 14 weeks of pregnancy, for two dates in May. If you know of anyone who can provide this service, please contact Jo Anna at the church office. Baby Bottle Boomerang Please pick up your baby bottle from the back table, fill it, and return it on Father’s Day!
SCBC Email Ministry: There will be sign-up lists at the back of the church this morning if you would like to be part of this ministry. We have 4 email lists as follows: 1). Pastor’s Corner: weekly emails from Pastor Scott; 2) Church Newsletter which outlines events for the week and announcements. 3) Prayer Requests. The 4th email is new and is for Special Announcements. If you have already signed up for the first 3, there is no need to sign up again.
